Day 1. Arrival in Chandigarh – Local Sightseeing
Arrive in Chandigarh in the morning or early afternoon and check in to your hotel. Begin your sightseeing with a visit to Sukhna Lake, a serene man-made lake where you can enjoy a boat ride or simply walk along the promenade, taking in the views of the surrounding hills. Afterward, head to the Rock Garden, one of the city's most unique attractions. This innovative garden is made entirely from industrial and household waste, with sculptures and pathways that will leave you amazed. Continue your day by visiting the Rose Garden, Asia’s largest rose garden, home to over 1,600 varieties of roses, along with fountains and medicinal plants. If time permits, explore Sector 17 Plaza, a bustling commercial hub where you can shop for local handicrafts and souvenirs. Enjoy a traditional dinner at a local restaurant, sampling Punjabi cuisine, and return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2. Chandigarh – Shimla (Drive).
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive towards Shimla, the capital city of Himachal Pradesh (approximately 3-4 hours). The journey offers picturesque views of the hills and valleys. Upon arrival in Shimla, check in to your hotel. After freshening up, take a stroll around Mall Road, which is lined with colonial-era buildings, local shops, and cafes. Visit the Ridge, a large open space offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. If time allows, you can visit the Jakhoo Temple, dedicated to Lord Hanuman, located on a hilltop. Enjoy a relaxed evening and overnight stay in Shimla.
Day 3. Shimla – Manali (Drive).
After breakfast, enjoy a scenic drive from Shimla to Manali, which takes approximately 7-8 hours. The journey is filled with breathtaking views of the Himalayan foothills, rivers, and valleys. Upon arrival in Manali, check in to your hotel. Spend the rest of the evening at leisure, either exploring the local markets or relaxing in your hotel. You can visit Mall Road for shopping, where you’ll find woolen clothes, souvenirs, and local handicrafts. Enjoy a traditional Himachali dinner at a local restaurant before heading back to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 4. Manali Sightseeing – Solang Valley & Rohtang Pass (Seasonal).
After breakfast, embark on a full-day sightseeing tour of Manali. Start with a visit to Solang Valley, a popular destination for adventure activities like paragliding, zorbing, and skiing (depending on the season). If you’re visiting during the winter months, you can enjoy skiing on the slopes. Later, proceed to Rohtang Pass, one of the highest motorable roads in the world (subject to weather conditions and season). Rohtang offers panoramic views of snow-capped peaks and is a haven for snow lovers. On your way back, visit the Hadimba Temple, a unique structure surrounded by a cedar forest. Day 5. Departure from Manali.
After breakfast, check out of your hotel and, depending on your departure time, you may have the opportunity to visit other nearby attractions, such as the Manu Temple or the Vashisht Baths, known for their hot springs. You can also take a final stroll along the Beas River or enjoy shopping for souvenirs. Afterward, proceed to the Kullu Manali Airport or Manali Bus Station for your onward journey, marking the end of your delightful Chandigarh-Shimla-Manali tour.
